Departure by plane from Rome Fiumicino
to Tel Aviv. Arrival and transfer to NAZARETH.
22 October –
Saturday – Celebrating the liturgical memory
of the Blessed John Paul II
Visit the Basilica of the Annunciation.
Transfer to the Mount of Beatitudes, Holy Mass in the location where the Blessed
John Paul II celebrated Mass for young people on 24
March 2000. Continue by bus through the Jordan Valley and arrive in BETHLEHEM.
23 October -
Sunday – BETHLEHEM
BETHLEHEM. Departure for Jerusalem, the
"City of God". Visit the city, sacred to the three monotheistic religions:
Judaism, Christianity and Islam. Visit the Mount of Olives, Gethsemane: the
Garden of Olives, the Basilica of the Agony, the Chapel of the Pater Noster, the
Chapel of Dominus Flevit.
Visit to Mount Zion, the Coenaculum,
where the Last Supper took place, the Church of the Dormition. Stop at the
Western Wall of the Temple, the most magnificent ruins of Herod's temple. Walk
through the alleys of the old city to the Holy Sepulchre.
24 October – Monday - BETHLEHEM
BETHLEHEM. Morning: departure of athletes participating in the Peace Race that this year will also be held from Bethlehem to Jerusalem (12KM). After the opening ceremony in the area near the checkpoint in Bethlehem there will be a soccer game between Israeli, Palestinian and Italian athletes. The race will end in Jerusalem, at the Notre Dame Center, where the awards will be given. In the afternoon return to Bethlehem for the visit of the Basilica of the Nativity, the Grotto of St. Jerome and the Shepard's Grotto.
25 October –
Tuesday - BETHLEHEM
BETHLEHEM. Conclusion of the pilgrimage.
Transfer to airport and departure from Tel Aviv by plane to Rome Fiumicino.
